Synopsis:
In the summer of 1939, Zosia, a young Polish girl, is deeply in love with a Ukrainian boy from her village. Despite her feelings, her father forces her into a marriage with a wealthy Polish widower. Soon, the outbreak of World War II disrupts the life of the community. As Nazi and Soviet occupations shift regional boundaries, deep-seated ethnic tensions begin to boil over, culminating in the horrific massacres of the Polish population in Volhynia in 1943. Amidst the chaos and systemic brutality, Zosia must navigate a landscape of terror to ensure her children's survival.

Release Notes:
• Video: Encoded from the retail Blu-ray source using x265 10-bit (Main 10) profile to maintain optimal grain structure and prevent banding in low-light scenes.
• Audio: The original Polish FLAC 5.1 track utilized a non-standard 5.1(side) layout. This has been remapped to a standard 5.1(back) channel matrix for proper compatibility with multi-channel setups, encoded in high-quality libopus at 256 kbps.
• Subtitles: Includes a custom-formatted, timing-aligned Simplified Chinese SRT track as default. Redundant trailing punctuation and formatting anomalies have been strictly cleaned. Original English and Polish PGS tracks are retained.
