In 1992 trotseert een groep jonge anarchisten de sneeuwbedekte wildernis,
om vanuit hun basis daar actie te voeren tegen de aanleg van een autowegomleiding.
Een verschrikkelijk lot wachtte hen. 15 Jaar later verhuist een succesvolle
horrorschrijfster, de gevoelige Susan, van Californië naar het Engelse platteland,
op zoek naar rust. De pas gehuwde vindt die in het idyllische afgelegen Hamlet.
Daar begint voor Susan een ware nachtmerrie.
